I Am Gifted. I Am From a Gifted People (w/ Brittany Janay)

Brittany Janay kicks of this week with a loving reminder that we are a gifted people. We have inherited gifts that our people and world need. She reads a passage from a book she has referenced throughout this season on “The Black Helping Tradition,” and shares more on the work of Black scholars, ancestors Alexander Crummel & W.E.B. DuBois. In a world that often times pathologizes Blackness, we must be intentional about centering Black joy, Black strength, Black gifts. Our history and lineage is rich … our liberation requires us to REMEMBER.
