The group recaps birthday season we missed both Nika and Hali’s bday due to our brief hiatus in May. Cidnee hosted her new all women’s event Bloom and moderated her first panel in Canada.
Candy and Nika recapped our first event stop in Charlotte, North Carolina for tour.
June is pride and Father’s Day –
We shout out Tyler The Creator who embodies #CareFreeBlackBoy with his energetic and playful ways.
Two fathers that are breaking the mold are Marlon Wayans and Dwayne Wade who are both allowing their children to be queer and proud.
Our CareFreeBlackGirl was Ari Lennox and we are so excited about the potential collab with her Meghan thee stallion.
Gurl – we talked world pride month , pose and the new pride flag .
Last season Pose FX had a breakout season that gave the world a deeper look into the ballroom scene and what the culture means for lgbtq youth. If you have not watched it add that to your list.
The new pride flag is more inclusive and includes those within the community and their allies . The new flag includes – LGBTTQQIAAP (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, transsexual, queer, questioning, intersex, asexual, ally, pansexual)
On Serious Note – Cidnee highlights the rapid changes in our climate and why we should recycle. Reason one being we don’t have anywhere else to go . Candy believes technically is to blame as well
Which lead to our Get Free where the group encourages people to do more to save themselves and the earth like beach clean ups.

The ladies talk travel plans . Hali is getting ready to study abroad in London this summer and we are so excited for her.
We lean on the topic of summer body and ladies decide its above them now . Cidnee is really open and honest about not feeling good about her summer body and ask Candy for some tips on eating. Documenting your food choices is a great way to stay on top of yourself .
