Following a non-horror detour to discuss Jawbreaker, celebrating our 50th episode with a heavy discussion on The X Files: I Want To Believe (of all things), and making our first foray into Marvel superhero territory with all of the queerbaiting and gay panic in Blade: Trinity, Joe and I flash forward two years to 2006 to discuss Glen Morgan‘s (Willard) 2006 remake of Bob Clark‘s iconic 1974 slasher Black Christmas (just in time for the release of Sophia Takal’s new take on the film, which was released this past weekend).
In the film, a group of sorority sisters (Katie Cassidy, Michelle Trachtenberg, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Lacey Chabert and Crystal Lowe) and their house mother (Andrea Martin, returning from the 1974 film) are stalked and murdered in their house during a winter storm by a jaundiced serial killer name Billy and his sister-daughter Agnes.
