“The Bear Bit My Bumper!”
He spent most of June escorting people from all over the country and the world, on
photo tours
. He provides them the opportunity to take pics of Loons, Western Grebes, and Brown Bears! We spent most of the time talking about his adventures with and knowledge of bears.
For instance he told us that Black Bears stay with their cubs only through the first summer and the next winter. Then she violently shoes them away. Brown Bears will stay with their cubs for an average of 2.4-years before she boots them out. And, he noted, the mother bear will protect them until she’s solo.
