Rock legends Robert Plant and Dave Gilmour launch podcasts

OPINION: What’s better than one of your favourite rock gods making a podcast? Two rock gods making a podcast!

Two of rock’s finest have stepped up to the podcast plate.  One gives insight into their musical influences and the other shows off his guitar collection.

Former Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant has launched Digging Deep, a look at Plant’s musical journey in the post-Zeppelin era and explores some of his notable collaborations and inspirations.

He’s joined in the podcast by radio journalist Matt Everitt, who coaxes Plant back in time to tell the stories of some of his best-known albums, beginning with 1993’s Fate of Nations. This fortnightly podcast will feature musical collaborations with singer Alison Krauss, violinist Nigel Kennedy and discusses Plant’s influences, from American blues to Middle Eastern guitars.

Digging Deep by Robert Plant explores his musical collaborations and career since Led Zeppelin.
