The recently launched Netflix podcast Strong Black Legends, pays homage to African-Americans who have had a lasting effect on Hollywood films and the entertainment industry. The podcast is part of a Netflix initiative to have a closer relationship with black audiences and empower black creatives.
This interview style podcast is presented by Tracy Clayton (of Buzzfeed’s Another Round podcast) and her interview style is relatable, high energy and real. The first episode features actress Lynn Whitfield who has a huge repertoire of successful movies and TV shows, including The Josephine Baker Story, Eva’s Bayou and Netflix’s Nappily Ever After.
