This episode of True Detective was jam-packed with revelations. If you looked away for even a second, you may have missed one very crucial clue that you can read all about here. But, otherwise, you didn’t have to be paying that much attention to notice that one of the main culprits in Julie Purcell’s disappearance was revealed in this episode. But for those of you who prefer to read all about it, let’s start with the final moments of Episode 6. Tom Purcell (Scoot McNairy) takes a drunken, grief-stricken stroll into the bowels of the Hoyt family manor only to find the very Pink Room that Julie Purcell was kept in after she was stolen from her parents in 1980.
For what it’s worth, I doubt Tom is looking at the real Julie in this shot. I bet he’s looking at a portrait of her…
