Last Friday, news of the Brooklyn-based podcast company Gimlet’s possible acquisition by Spotify zipped through the podcast world; meanwhile, on the earbud side of things, Gimlet continues putting out new material. On Monday, it released the entire first season of an investigative true-crime series, “Conviction,” which is hosted by Saki Knafo and based on his reporting for the Times Magazine.
